Police are investigating after a man was shot inside a flat in London last night. Officers were called at 7.47pm Nicoll Road in Harlesden to reports of a shooting. A man in his 40s was found with gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital, where he is now fighting for his life. No arrests have been made.
A spokesman from the Metropolitan Police Service said: ‘Police were called at 19.47pm on Friday, April 17 to Nicoll Road, Harlesden, Brent following reports of a shooting. ‘A man in his 40s was found inside an address suffering from gunshot injuries. He has been taken to hospital – condition treated as life-threatening. ‘At this time there have been no arrests. It comes after just this week police launched a murder investigation in Brent when a woman died after being dragged out of a burning building. A 36-year-old woman was rescued from the building on Alric Avenue by the London Fire Brigade after they received an emergency call on Wednesday. The London Ambulance Service took the woman to hospital where she died at 6am. Police say the fire is being treated as suspicious and a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of arson.
